Five heavily edited drafts later, the first 1/3 of A Warrior’s Penance is off to the beta readers. Finally! For various reasons, this has been a remarkably difficult section for me to write, and at this point, I simply don’t have perspective anymore to figure out the flaws. When not studying, I’ve been detoxing with Farscape. Almost done with season 3. It’s my second go-round with the show. I didn’t see it when it was first aired, just like I never saw Firefly until AFTER I saw Serenity in the theater. Firefly and Farscape. Two great shows that should have had longer runs.
Pretty shiny stuff. I’ll get the updated print version out as soon as I have the finalized updated interior work. Hopefully not too far off. And then it’s just the final two drafts (I hope) of book 3, send it to the beta readers, one more draft, off to the editor, get the interior layout…
Setting up a Contact Form so people can email me turned out to be a HUGE pain in the backside. Hours wasted, and the worst was that all it took was one call to my webhost, literally 2 seconds on the part of Evan the awesome tech, and it was done. At least I hope…

I don’t want to give too much away, but the new series is titled The Chronicles of William Wilde, so he’s the main character. But Rukh and Jessira eventually do show up in the series. And they’re every bit as quietly badass as before.
